Alu & Gigi One and their son, Karsten
I (Alu) was raised and born in Northern Shan State, Myanmar. My whole family was a Buddhist family. I left Myanmar as a teenager. Today I am the only Christian in my family.
Gigi and I got married in 2009 and we moved Thailand to pioneer. The word God gave to us was “Colossians 1:28 He is the one we proclaim, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone fully mature in Christ.” Everything that we do it flow out from this word and until today we are still following this word.
We stayed in Chiangmai for 5 years pioneered a Shan Church, Shan Discipleship Training School and teaching English to migrant workers from Myanmar. During that time we were praying for Karsten’s Education and God led us to A.C.E (Accelerated Christian Education) Home Schooling. But the Lord told us to extend it to others as well. At the same time our ministry leader challenged us to move to Fang and to help out the migrant children. The Lord confirmed to us that it’s for these children in Fang to start the Learning Center.
In 2015 we moved to Fang and started a learning center call Berean Learning Center, Fang with 5 students together with our son Karsten The following year we started the Shan Church. Praise God we could see every step He guided and protected us. When we looked back we give God all the glory and honor to Him alone.
This month We celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. Our love for one another just grow stronger and stronger. We learned so much in loving one another’s journey. Now we could say it’s because of God’s love and His love compels us to be the person He wanted us to be.
Ministering through education and evangelism.
Daycare Ministry
Serving the children from very poor families through daycare weekdays from 6 am to 2 pm. This includes Bible, language (Thai, Shan, English), math, and basic hygiene skills as well as a nutritious meal.
Church and House Fellowship
We have a church in Fang where the service is in Shan allowing them to worship in their native language. We also hold house fellowship most evenings in the community. Primarily with families of the children we serve.
ACE School
Our students are mostly from the BLESS Program at the Day Care and are interested in further studies. Currently we are levels 1-5.
We serve with a team of eight people; our goal is to see every home become Christian and every child will have a Christian Education. We want to see family, community and individuals transformed by the Gospel through Godly education and community outreach.
