The Gift of Life

Upon receiving the boxes of newly translated T’Boli Bibles, pastor Dimes broke into a prayer of blessing and thanksgiving. A prayer that God’s Word would find fertile soil in the hearts of the T’Boli people and a prayer of thanksgiving for the provision of the Bibles in their native language.
Several years ago we went on outreach to the T’Boli people and got to know pastor Dimes. Over the years our relationship has grown. He recently shared with us how the church is growing and about the need for Bibles. I learned that the translation of the Bible in the T’Boli language had just been completed. I shared of this need in our newsletter and The Second Tunic promptly sent the funds for the 200 Bibles I requested.
Just several days after the official release of the translation, Joel Bringas and I took the Bibles to Pastor Dimes. I wish you could have seen his face, especially when we started to read it in his own language. It was like something got triggered in his heart. He was so excited. I count it a joy and a privilege to have been part of putting God’s Word in the hands of the of the T’Boli people.
